Zaleski Camp Today June 2008 |

We took a walk at the camp to look around. It brought back so many memories. We peeked into the windows and walked all around each building. Everyone spotted their old window. It was sad to see the camp empty , abandoned, and lifeless. |

Side Note: We noticed the dorms are Air Conditioned now! |

The maintenance area, "The Compound", was empty and quiet. No green crew cab trucks around anymore. We walked around the fence and looked in. We felt like prisoners, only, we were being kept out. |

Dining Room, it looked exactly the same, but was locked. How many times did we walk through those doors? How many meals were eaten inside there?

Side Note to Big Daddy: After exiting those doors, how many times did you have to sit on the pot until your feet fell asleep? |

Side Note to everyone else in the world: Sorry |

| Photo taken through the glass on the exterior door of the mens dorm. Looking down the hallway. Each room had a little world inside. Each was someone's HOME. I remember having to announce myself each time I went in there. "Girl in the dorm!!!!" |
